Missy Peregrym Introduction

Always the lover of sports, Missy took a job as a basketball coach after she graduated high school, but she was far too good looking to waste her time with that so she tried modeling instead.

Missy Peregrym Life Story

Born in Montreal and raised in Surrey, British Columbia she began modeling and appearing in Canadian advertisements when she was 18. Her first acting role was a guest spot on the short lived Jessica Alba series “Dark Angel.” Following several more guest appearances, she was cast as a regular on two series: Black Sash (WB) and Life As We Know It (ABC). Despite having never starred in a movie or done gymnastics she was cast as the lead in Stick It (2006) a movie about gymnastics that featured fellow Canadian babe Vanessa Lengies. For the part she moved to L.A. and trained for four months, six hours per day, prior to the filming, so that her scenes would look realistic when spliced with her stunt double's work. After "Stick It" she starred in the Toronto based TV film, "Wide Awake" and alongside Ali Larter and Hayden Panettiere on NBC's “Heroes” as “Candace Wilmer” the illusion generating temptress. She left L.A. in the summer of 2007 and returned to her native Vancouver after she landed what may be her best role to date, Andi Prendergast, the love interest for the main character on the amazingly funny dark comedy, “Reaper”, which aired on the CW Network from 2007-2009. Returning to L.A. after the cancellation of Reaper, she was quickly signed for a new television show, "Rookie Blue", which filmed in the last half of 2009 in Toronto and was broadcast on ABC starting June 24, 2010. Flew to Cannes, France in April, 2010 to promote Rookie Blue at the International Digital TV Emmy Awards. Rookie Blue was the only successful new 2010 summer scripted show for ABC and in July, 2010 it was renewed for a second season after only three weeks on the air. Missy is currently filming the second season of Rookie Blue through January 24, 2011.
