According to an interview with Ron Jeremy, Monique began modeling in Colombia. When Monique migrated to the United States, she began modeling under the name Monica Franco, but later she changed her name to Monica Fuentes, but to possibly avoid any controversy with the character in 2 Fast 2 Furious, she changed her name to Monique Fuentes.
