Rosa Isabel Mutya Buena (born 21 May 1985 in Kingsbury, London), known professionally as Mutya Buena, is an English singer and songwriter of Filipino, Chinese, and Irish descent.

Who rose to fame as a member of the pop group Sugababes. She left the group in December 2005 for personal reasons and has since launched a successful solo career. Mutya gave birth to Tahlia-Maya Buena, her first child with boyfriend Jay. She named her child Tahlia-Maya in memory of her sister, Maya who died back in 2002.

She is known for her numerous piercings and tattoos, which includes her sister's name "MAYA" on her hip, Buena and heart on arm, heart on her hand, lady & naughty on her leg, bar code on neck, only god can judge me on neck, Chinese symbol on right arm, lion on back, large rose on left shoulder, rose on left breast, and a large purple rose on the outside of her left leg.

In January 2009, Mutya appeared in the sixth series of Celebrity Big Brother but left on Day 15 citing homesickness. She will be releasing her second solo album later in 2010 with a new sound and is set for release mid way through that year.
