Life Story

Nicky was born in New York City and raised with her siblings in Los Angeles, Her father is Richard Hilton, a businessman, and her mother is Kathy Hilton (née Avanzino) She grew up with three siblings: older sis Paris Hilton, and brothers Barron Nicholas Hilton II, and Conrad Hughes Hilton III. She was raised Catholic and attended Convent of the Sacred Heart and graduated in 2001.

Her great-grandfather, hotel magnate Conrad Hilton, founded a hotel empire that her grandfather, Barron Hilton expandeded on. She and Paris spend it. Born in Manhattan, she grew up in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and spent time living in Beverly Hills and the Hamptons. At an early age she showed an interest in fashion and it wasn’t long before her piercing eyes and slim figure would allow her to begin modeling.

Bursting onto the party scene with older sister, famous socialite/model/actress Paris Hilton, they quickly made headlines. Joining actress Tara Reid, model Kimberly Stewart, heiress Nicole Richie and actress/model/heiress Bijou Phillips they formed the party-girl equivalent of the Traveling Wilburys, besetting the night with a tornado of self destruction and terror that left lightweights like Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan in its wake.

Fashion designing career

As her career as a fashion designer took off it looked like maybe Nicky would settle down. She shocked the world when at age 20 she married the painfully bald Todd Andrew Meister, 13 years her senior. She shocked Meister three months later when the marriage was annulled. Her current beau is Mary Kate Olsen’s ex-boyfriend, David Katzenberg.

In 2006, she entered into a partnership to open her own line of hotels called “Nicky O Hotels” which would not be affiliated with the Hilton chain. She was sued her for breach of contract less than a year later. The allegations against her include contracting out interior design work she was supposed to perform herself and charging it back to the developer. The outcome is still pending.

In December 2009, Nicky claims she was robbed, all that was taken from her house was her laptop and an expensive crystal. In February 2009, Nicky was allegedly attacked outside a restaurant in West Hollywood by a homeless man and was forced to place him under citizen's arrest, according to reports. Law enforcement sources stated that a male transient pushed the heiress to the ground at the WeHo IHOP on Saturday about 5 a.m. Hilton reportedly got back to her feet and managed to make a citizen's arrest. "I am placing you under citizen's arrest," Hilton reportedly told the man, according to Usmagazine.com. Police then showed up at the scene and cuffed the suspect. "One of our deputies was at the IHOP having a coffee break and noticed a waitress run outside because there was a commotion," Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Whitmore told the magazine that the arrest was a "dual effort by both Hilton and the two deputies."
