She had a very public fall out with best friend Paris Hilton, but has since reconciled. Her highly publicized weight loss has given rise to claims that she has an eating disorder, accusations that she adamantly denies. She is currently denying rumors that she has been smoking while pregnant.

On January 11, 2008, her first child Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born in Los Angeles. Daddy is Joel Madden of Good Charlotte. Their second child, a boy named Sparrow James Midnight Madden, was born on September 9, 2009.
