Niecy Nash Biography
Niecy Nash (born Carol Denise Ensley; February 23, 1970) is an American comedian and actress. She is perhaps best known for her role as Deputy Raineesha Williams on the Comedy Central television series Reno 911!.
The Palmdale, California native began her career as a stand up comedian and made her film debut in a small role in Boys on the Side in 1995. She won roles in the films Cookie’s Fortune and The Bachelor while also appearing on television in the series “Party of Five”, “Malcolm & Eddie”, “City of Angels”, “Popular”, “Kate Brasher”, “One on One”, “NYPD Blue”, “Judging Amy”, “Reba”, “Girlfriends”, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “Malibu’s Most Wanted”, “That’s So Raven”, “Kid Notorious”, “ER”, “Monk”, “The Bernie Mac Show”, “My Name is Earl” and “The Boondocks”.
She most recently starred in her own cable television series, “Clean House” as well as the series “Slacker Cats” and the films Cook Off! and Code Name: the Cleaner. She also starred as Rhonda, opposite Jerry O'Connell, in the short-lived Fox sitcom Do Not Disturb.
Nash has guest starred on The Bernie Mac Show as Bernie's sister Bonita, and on That's So Raven as a public-access TV psychic named Madame Cassandra, a spoof of Miss Cleo. In 2006, she began work as a correspondent for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She is also a regular on The Insider television program.
