Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are billionaire twins who found fame and fortune at the ripe old age of nine months. They are sitcom stars, fashion designers, trend setters, and company moguls. You probably know them as the missing element in the coolest threesome you could ever have. Man, you would never have to buy beer again.
Life Story
The Olsen Twins got their big break in 1987 when they landed the role of Michelle Tanner in the family sitcom Fullhouse. Soon after the show ended they decided it was time to get into the film business. And so they made several family films that went straight to video such as: How the West Was Fun (1991), and To Grandmother’s House We Go (1992). In 2004 the girls climbed out of the straight-to-video bargain bin and made their big screen debut in New York Minute. Unfortunately the movie only pulled in a paltry thirteen million, making it a genuine box office flop.
Luckily the twins were not financially hurt by the flop because they happened to be stinking rich thanks to their business endeavors. Back in 1993, when they were all of seven years old, they established the Dualstar company, a movie and magazine company and a clothing line with Walmart. Both enterprises have made them billions of dollars. That’s enough money to survive a thousand flops with Eugene Levy.
After achieving success in acting, business and fashion design the girls could have spent the rest of their days on a private island sipping margaritas, instead they decided to pursue a better education (It’s really hard not to respect these girls). Mary Kate and Ashley enrolled in New York University in 2003. But like many other students, the twins found college life tough to deal with. Mary Kate took leave from NYU after her long time boyfriend Stavros Niarchos the Third left her for her good friend/boyfriend stealing bitch Paris Hilton. In 2004, Mary Kate was admitted into a rehab center in Utah for six weeks because she was suffering from anorexia. She has also become somewhat of a fashion icon thanks to her “Homeless” look, also known as the Boho-chic. This look includes oversized sunglasses, long boots, loose sweaters and a great deal of body odor. So the next time your girlfriend comes over looking like something from skid row, you know who to blame. Ashley for her part has stayed out of trouble, as she spends a lot of her time running their clothing line.
The Olsen Twins don’t go out as much as they use to thanks to the constant onslaught of paparazzi, but when they do they love to go out with their friends such as Nicole Ritchie, Lindsay Lohan and Hayden Pantierre. Just imagine the possibilities.
