Paula Patton Life Story

Actress Paula Patton is more than just the wife of pop star Robin Thicke. She's also a talented film maker and is becoming a celebrity in her own right. Before stepping in front of the camera for films such as Hitch (Eva Mendes) with Will Smith, she worked behind the scenes after graduating from the prestigious Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles. Soon after graduating, PBS offered her a job as teenage documentarian for their series The Ride.

After high school, Patton attended the USC Film School and graduated manga cum laude. She used her education to land a job as a producer for the Discovery Channel, but quickly realized she'd have more fun in front of the camera. Her first major film was Hitch in 2005, that same year she appeared in the film London with Jessica Biel and Dane Cook. In 2006, she stared in the OutKast film Idle Wild and in Déjà vu with Denzel Washington and Val Kilmer.

In 2005, she married Robin Thicke and appeared nude on the cover of his album A Beautiful World.

Her latest films are Swing Vote; where she shares the screen with the likes of Kevin Costner, Dennis Hopper and Kelsey Grammer, and the horror flick Mirrors with Amy Smart.
