Raquel Cassidy is an English actress. She is perhaps best known for her television roles as Susan Gately in Teachers (series 1 and 2), the Home Office Junior Minister Jo Porter in Party Animals, and Mel in Lead Balloon, as well as her various stage works.
She is 5'7" tall; and has brown hair and brown eyes. She sings mezzo soprano, dances Flamenco, is fluent in Spanish and plays guitar and castanets. She was educated at Girton College, Cambridge, where she studied modern languages and then biological anthropology. She later pursued a PhD in biological anthropology but she abandoned it in order to pursue a career in acting instead.
Her favourite ITV shows are Brideshead Revisited, Inspector Morse and Upstairs, Downstairs.
