She had to wear a wig during the production of The Craft because she shaved her head for her role in Empire Records, which was filmed a year earlier.

Life Story

Robin Tunney grew up on the south side or Chicago and went to the Chicago Academy of the Arts with Lara Flynn Boyle. She moved to Los Angeles at 18 with hopes of becoming an actress.

Career

Her early career consisted of small roles on film and television, most notably the Pauley Shore classic Encino Man. Her breakout performance was in Empire Records (Liv Tyler, Renee Zellweger) and her first leading role was in The Craft (Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell). Other notable perfomances include: Hollywoodland (Diane Lane), The Secret Lives of Dentists (Hope Davis) and "Prison Break" (Sarah Wayne Callies).


She is now co-starring with Simon Baker in the CBS hit "The Mentalist" (Teresa Lisbon).
