Saffron Burrows was born to a politically active family; both of her parents are Socialists. Her father is an architect and teacher and her mother, Susie, is a teacher and feminist. At age fifteen, she was discovered by a modeling talent scout because she stood about half a foot over the rest of the girl, has no boobs, and was hot, and she began a successful modeling career.

Burrows got her acting start in the film Welcome to the Terra Dome as Jodie, then had a role in the movie In the Name of the Father (also known as Daniel Day Lewis in a film with some other people). She had a bigger role in Circle of Friends (1995), which included Chris O'Donnell and pre-skinny Minnie Driver. Her list of other movies includes: Hotel de Love. Wing Commander, Deep Blue Sea, The Loss of Sexual Innocence (surely, a must see), Miss Julie, Timecode, Enigma, Tempted, and Troy, aka Brad Pitt in a Skirt Movie. You can see her right now as attorney Lorraine Weller, towering over James Spader and William Shattner on ABC's Boston Legal.

In more important news, Burrows is bisexual, which should be followed by a enormous collective cheer from all the men in the world. She has been romantically linked with actress Fiona Shaw. Neither actress has publicly confirmed or denied the relationship, making it even hotter.

In 2008, Saffron was in two films: The Guitar (2008), in which she learned to play the guitar, and The Bank Job (2008) with Jason Statham and Keeley Hawes which, suprisingly, is about a bank heist.
