Introduction

Best known as Mexican DJ Carmen de la Pica Morales on The L-Word, Sarah Shahi is a bona fide super hotte and she's not even Mexican. In fact, her great-great-grandfather was Fat′h Ali Shah Qajar, an Iranian Shah (in other words a certifiable princess).

Life Story

Shahi was born in Texas and grew up living an All-American lifestyle. As a teen she competed in many a beauty pageant, even winning the 1997 Miss Fort Worth pageant. Before realizing she could make a living off of her good looks, Shahi studied English and Opera at everybody's favorite school with a disgraced football team: Southern Methodist University. In 1999 Shahi had an epiphany and did what only the most attractive women in the state of Texas can do, and that is join the Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleaders. In a true testament to Shahi's hotness, she appeared on the cover of their 2000 calendar.

Sarah's breakthrough was when she got the role as the lesbian, hot latin DJ chick Carmen de la Pica Morales in the L word season 2.

In 2000, while acting as an extra in the Richard Gere mega-chickflick Dr. T and the Women, director Robert Altman told her to move to Hollywood. Recognizing the good advice, Shahi did just that and began getting roles in no time. First Shahi got mainly extra work on shows like City Guys and Spin City, but by 2001 she landed a seven episode stint on Alias, playing a budding journalist. Shahi has also appeared on The Sopranos, Frasier, and Dawson's Creek, as well as the seminal film Old School.

Sarah recently landed the lead role in the USA network's series "Fairly Legal." She plays a lawyer who, after getting a divorce, shifts careers and becomes a mediator.

Outside of her acting career, Shahi has appeared in countless men's magazines. She is fluent in Farsi (Persian) and English, and also speaks a little Spanish. Fight pickers beware: Shahi holds a brown belt in karate, so she can probably kick your ass.

Sarah made the 2012 Maxim Hot 100 list coming in at number 36.
