Scout Taylor-Compton Introduction
Scout Taylor-Compton, (born Desariee Starr Compton) is an American actress and singer. She has gained notoriety in the horror genre, which has garnered her the title of "scream queen."
Scout Taylor-Compton Career
In 1998, Taylor-Compton began her acting career with an appearance in the film Thursday Afternoon (1998). She went on to have small roles in both television and film including "Ally McBeal", "ER", "Frasier", "The Guardian" and "The Division." She appeared in several student films, commercials for Fuji Film and the Disney Cruise Line, and various skits on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
In 2001, she had a recurring role on the television series "Gilmore Girls." In 2004, she appeared in the teen comedy Sleepover (2004), which had been her first large Hollywood film role. Following Sleepover, she appeared in numerous television series including "Hidden Howie," "Unfabulous," "Cold Case," "That's So Raven," "Charmed" and "Without a Trace."
In 2006, Scout starred in the first of her many horror films, Wicked Little Things (2006). Director Rob Zombie then cast her in the lead role in his horror remake Halloween (2007) and the sequel Halloween II (2009). In between she did the straight to video horror flick April Fool's Day (2008), and the Beyonce flick Obsessed (2009). Coming up, Scout will portray rocker Lita Ford in the The Runaways (2010), a biopic about the 1970s all girl punk rock band.
