Sophie Marceau Introduction
The classy, hot French chick rarely stars in American films, but when she does, it almost makes you want to go rent the French films she's in. But you don't. Although she's not huge in the U.S., she's an international induction into the hot chick hall of fame, having been smoking hot for over twenty years now.
Life Story
Sophie's career started at 14 when she was cast in the starring role of the French film La Boum, which apparently was so popular, two years latered she appeared in the sequel La Boum 2," in which she was honored with a Cesar Award, the French equivalent of the Oscar. Still, only French people cared, and it wasn't until 1995 that she really broke into the American mainstream, playing the role of Princess Isabelle, in Braveheart.
From there, Sophie began to get steady roles in American films, starring in A Midsummmer Night's Dream, as well as playing a femme fatale Bond girl in the 1999 James Bond film The World is Not Enough.
Still, Sophie sought to be more than just a hot chick with a French accent that could act, and in 2001, she wrote a semi-autobiographical novel which she turned into a film. Again, she won a French Oscar, much to the delight of French people everywhere.
Sophie gave birth to her second child, in London, in 2002. Later, she was chosen as Ambassador of Charm for France in East Asia, where she enjoys great popularity. Unfortunately, to date, France has no ambassador of Charm in the United States, or if they do, he or she should be fired.
