Stephanie Rice Introduction
Stephanie Rice is an Olympic gold medal swimmer from Brisbane, Australia, who holds the world record in both the 200m and 400m individual medley. She owes that fantastic olive complexion to her Yugoslav heritage (mother).

At the Beijing Olympic Games, Rice received her first-ever Olympic medal, placing first in the 400m individual medley, beating Kirsty Coventry and Katie Hoff to the gold in a time of 4 minutes 29.45 seconds. Rice also broke Hoff's world record time, and became the first woman to break the 4:30 mark in the 400m IM. Her second gold medal of the games came on August 13 in the 200m individual medley with a new world record time of 2 minutes 8.34 seconds. She scored a third gold medal in Beijing as part of Australia's 4 X 200m freestyle relay team, also in world record time.
Stephanie Rice Personal Life
Rice was romantically linked with fellow Australian swimmer and 50m Freestyle world record holder Eamon Sullivan, however they ended their 2 year relationship, in July 2008, just prior to the Beijing Olympics. Sullivan and Rice said that they are putting their relationship on hold, because of their focus on The Olympics. The two said they will remain "The best of friends". (Isn't that what they all say?)
Rice made headlines in Australia in March 2008, when several media outlets published pictures from her Facebook page that showed Rice having fun with her friends. One of the photos, from a costume party, showed Rice dressed in a sexy policewoman outfit. The Australian media portrayed her as a "party girl" who was "vamping it up." If this "scandal" had broken in Hollywood, it's doubtful anyone would have raised an eyebrow. As internet photo scandals go, this seemed to be one of the least shocking in history, but Australia was all abuzz for a few days.
Shortly before the close of the Beijing Games, Rice was spotted at a celebratory party outside the Olympic Village making out with American swimmer Michael Phelps. Apparently Phelps had his pick of the litter after winning eight gold medals, and what better place to start than with Stephanie.
