Stirling Gallacher

Stirling Gallacher is a Bowdon, Cheshire (now Greater Manchester)-born English actress.

Gallacher is possibly best-known for her role as Dr. Georgina Woodson in the British TV drama Doctors (2000 TV series) from which she left on Friday, 27 March 2009 after 6 years.

She has worked with actor/comedian Ricky Gervais, appearing in Gervais' stand up show Animals and playing Jennifer Taylor-Clarke in both series of The Office. Following this, she starred in Little Britain as the Prime Minister's wife. Gallacher co-wrote and co-directed the play, The Seven Deadly Sins, with Andrea Seale.

Stirling has a son, Ulysses, born in January 2004. Contrary to the popular rumour she is not the mother of Jessica Gallagher, the child actress who played her on-screen daughter, Bracken. She briefly dated writer Chris Benson in 2002. On 20 June 2009, she married her Doctors co-star, and on-screen husband, Seán Gleeson and now lives in Gloucestershire.
