Tatjana Patitz helped define the look of supermodels in the 1990s.
Supermodel Tatjana Patitz, along with Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista made George Michael's video for the song, "Freedom" absolutely wonderful. The women were all part of the early 1990's boom of supermodel explosion, and brought celebrity statues to the fashion world.
Patitz began modeling at the age of 17 in Germany and popped up in Duran Duran's video for the song "Skin Trade" in 1987. In the 1990s, she appeared on hundreds of magazine covers and in commercials and print ads too numerous to count.
She soon decided to move to Los Angeles and try acting. Her first major film role was as the sexy murder victim in the Sean Connery/Wesley Snipes thriller Rising Sun with Tia Carrere. She also appeared in an episode of The Single Guy and in the film Restraining Order with Eric Roberts.
She had a long-term relationship with singer Seal. Their relationship ended, and Patitz tries very hard to keep her child out of the public's eye.
