Tea Leoni Introduction
The star of movies such as Fun With Dick and Jane, Tea Leoni admits that she doesn't have a traditional sex symbol's body. "I don't do T and A very well," she said. "I haven't got much of either." But that doesn't stop her from being super hot.
Tea Leoni Life Story
The wife of David Duchovny, Téa followed in her grandmother's footsteps and worked hard to become an actor. After appearing in small roles for films such as A League of Their Own and Wyatt Earp, Leoni co-starred in the TV series Flying Blind in 1992-93. That was quickly cancelled, and Leoni's brief marriage ended in divorce.
But she parlayed her comic time into a starring role in 1995 on The Naked Truth, playing tabloid reporter Nora Wilde. Téa became herself tabloid fodder when she became involved with series creator Chris Thompson, who reportedly left his wife. Things went wrong on air as well, as the struggling but funny show shifted from ABC to join what was then a powerhouse comedy line-up on NBC. But to make the move, Thompson agreed to re-work the show, making it substantially blander. In some quarters, he also was blamed for Leoni's decision to get implants, substantially changing her bustline from 30 AA to 33C. Ironically, she continued to give interviews criticizing Hollywood pressure to get implants.
Leoni and Thompson split by the time the show ended. Téa received little blame for the remodeled show's failure, and it became a springboard to other projects. She played the high strung psychologist in one of Ben Stiller's truly funny movies, Flirting With Disaster in 1996. Two years later, Leoni was offered the starring role in Deep Impact, in which her character must warn the entire planet that an asteroid is about to hit Earth. Because of the film, a real-life asteroid has been named 8299 Tealeoni in her honor. Her more recent film credits include Jurassic Park 3 and Spanglish (Paz Vega). Her next film is the supernatural comedy Ghost Town, about a man who can see the dead.
In a surprise move, Leoni married X-Files star David Duchovny in 1997. They have two children, but separated in 2008. Several months later, Duchovny checked into rehab for treatment of a purported sex addication.
