Introduction

Tia Nicole Tucker, most commonly known as Tia Texada, and sometimes known as "T" or "Cha Cha," or to stalkers as "My Next Victim" (born December 14, 1971) is an American film and television actress and singer. She is probably best known for portraying the role of Sgt. Maritza Cruz from the American television show "Third Watch." Dude, changing your name from something Waspy to something Latino is definitely a good move in Hollywood. Think about all the roles that she probably gave up before she figured that one out. I'm going to change my name to Hector Elizondo.

Life Story

Texada was born in Louisiana to a reflexologist mother and an insurance agent father. She has been acting since she was young. Yes, these are the "interesting facts" you'll find when browsing the internet searching for information on Tia. Lucky for you, we've compiled those "profound pieces of information that help to explain Tia's complex psyche here at Chickipedia." What's that? No, she doesn't have any nude pictures that we can print. Ass.

Texada's most recent appearance was as a guest star in an episode of "The Unit". She played Sgt. Maritza Cruz in the NBC Drama "Third Watch". She also has appeared in movies such as Paulie (1998) , Nurse Betty (2000), Glitter (2001), Phone Booth (2003), and Spartan (2004). Glitter is a movie you have to see for yourself, people. Seriously, go out and rent it. Chickipedia does not endorse the views of its writers, nor does it have a deal with the studio that released Glitter. So go rent it.

She also has a singing career, and her songs have been featured on shows such as "Dawson's Creek", which technically means she's worked with Michelle Williams and Katie Holmes (Sorry, that was just a gratuitous plug for other Chicki pages). She has lent her voice to TV's "Static Shock" as well as many television commercials. She has also done layouts for magazines. Pretty ones. And she was in them. She wasn't the one doing the Photoshopping.
