Yuki Maeda is a Japanese enka singer. Enka is traditional Japanese music (you know, the stuff with the shamisen and kimonos.) She works under the Hello! Project umbrella.
Maeda joined the Project in 2000. She was signed under the famous enka label Teichuku. In 2003, she transferred to the zetima label with Up-Front Works (famous for the giggly girl group Morning Musume.) She was then moved to another label called Rice Music.
Her career's not exactly lucrative, but her voice is beautiful and she is a surprisingly good rapper.
