Yulia Barsukova is a former Russian gymnast born on 31st December 1978 in Moscow, Soviet Union. She is the Olympic Campion back in 2000 in the All-Around. At the age of five she was into figure skating in Moscow whese she still lives. and then at the age of eight she was into Rhythmic Gymnastics. But in the 1999 World Championships in Osaka, Japan she won the gold and another in the same year in the rope in Budapest, Hungray. And then, in 2000, she continues to win gold in the Sydney Olympics and in Glasgow in the Hoop in the World Cup. She is now participating in the project of 1 Russian Channel "Stars on Ice" and is married to ice skater Denis Samokhin who is also Russian.
