Yunjin Kim Introduction

On the show Lost, Yunjin Kim plays the sometimes melodramatic Sun, and while everyone admits that the Sun/Jin flashbacks typically suck, there's no denying how beautiful she is. Remember the episode where she wore that blue bikini? Of course you do. Kim was born in Korea, but by the age of 10, she was living in Manhattan. She is a classically trained dancer, and also knows how to kick your ass. The petite actress is well-versed in the fighting styles of Unarmed, Quarter Staff, Broad Sword and Tae Kwon Do.

Yunjin Kim Biography

Before starring on the hit show Lost, Kim was a well-known star in Asia. She originally auditioned to play the role of Kate (Evangeline Lilly), which eventually went to Lilly. But casting directors were so impressed with Kim's dual language skills and acting ability, not to mention her great looks, that they offered her the role of Sun. On the set of Lost, Kim acts as a go-between for her on-screen husband Daniel Dae Kim (no relation) and the Korean translator, as Daniel cannot actually speak Korean himself.

For Kim's next role, she will star with comedian Margret Cho on the new show Two Sisters. Here's to hoping it takes place on a beach and that blue bikinis are plentiful.
