How to Make It
Glassware: Rocks Glass
Method: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Shake well, then strain into a glass filled with ice and enjoy.
NOTE: To make the simple syrup, combine 1 cup white granulated sugar, 1 cup water in a saucepan over high heat. Mix well, and as soon as the mixture reaches a boil, remove from the heat and let it cool to room temperature. (You’ll have some left over. It will keep in a mason jar in the fridge for up to six weeks.)
Why We Like It
If you’re anything like me, you’ve been drinking a lot (or a lot more than usual) these past few weeks. Booze is the reason for the season, right? Think of this Bourbon Milk Punch as a recovery cocktail. It has milk, which is full of calcium; cinnamon which is good for your blood flow; and bourbon, which is the quickest way to cure a hangover. Plus, it’s a drink traditionally served at brunch in New Orleans, so it’s totally appropriate to sip the morning after Christmas or on New Year’s Day.
