Why We Like It

If you think rhubarb is only good as a strawberry supporter, think again. Rhubarb is one of my all-time favorite drink ingredients, and it’s just about to reach its peak season. This rust-colored rhubarb cocktail showcases the surprising flavor of the stalk with notes of elderflower and lemon—no strawberries required. The Rusty Rhubarb is sweet, tart, and perfect for sipping this spring. You can make your own rhubarb syrup at home, but there are a few good options available for purchase, like this one from Brooklyn’s Morris Kitchen. It’s thick, aromatic and great for cocktails.
