How to Make It

Fill an Old Fashioned glass with crushed ice. Muddle one whole lime cut in eighths. Add Cacacha, cane sugar syrup and bitters. Strain the mixture over the crushed ice and drizzle with a half ounce of Aperol. On top of the drink, fill a spent lime hull with 151-proof rum and dust it with cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg. Set on fire.

Why We Like It

We’ve got Olympic fever, and the only prescription is cocktails featuring cachaça, Brazil’s national spirit. The Samba cocktail has everything: zesty, exotic flavor, rich color and a lime hull full of high proof rum that you light on fire. It winds up looking a bit like a boozy Olympic torch. Just make sure you drink it after you bring home the gold, not before.
