Why We Like It

’Tis the season for spicy festive drinks. If you prefer yours cool and bubbly, mix up this Spiked Orange-Spice Soda. Fresh-squeezed orange juice and Grand Marnier make it sweet, while ginger liqueur, Peychaud’s Bitters, and a good ginger beer make it spicy. But when it comes to the ginger beer, be sure to use a truly spicy one like Cock ‘n Bull, Gosling’s, Fentiman’s, or Reed’s — and definitely don’t try to substitute ginger ale or you’ll end up with something watered down and not very spicy or festive.
