When we finish dinner at our favorite little French restaurant we always order a Millionaire Coffee (or two) to bring some nice closure (and booze) to the meal. It’s just coffee made with a few different types of liquor and topped with whipped cream, but it’s so, so good.

This Millionaire Chocolate Sauce recipe is a riff on that idea and — whether you put it on cheesecake, ice cream, or eat it with a spoon — it offers a perfect way to round out a meal with booze.

Super easy and incredibly flexible, the base is just melted fudge sauce, and you can add whatever liquors you’d like. For this one, we used Baileys Irish Cream, Frangelico (a hazelnut liqueur) and Booker’s Bourbon, but you could try Kahlua, Grand Marnier, cognac or maybe even Fireball if you’re cooking for Cousin Eddy.

The best part? Because the booze doesn’t cook out, it gives you a nice little after-dinner buzz.

Millionaire Chocolate Sauce
1 jar of your favorite fudge sauce or hot fudge
1 shot Baileys Irish Cream
1 shot Frangelico
1 shot good bourbon
Cheesecake, ice cream, or fruit for serving

Prepare a double boiler. To do this, place about an inch of water in a saucepan and set it over medium heat. Then place a bowl at the top of the saucepan.

Add the hot fudge to the bowl and stir occasionally as it melts. Once it’s silky smooth add the liquors and stir until well incorporated.

Pour the hot fudge over dessert item of your choice. Serve with coffee and more booze.
