Drake joined a legion of rappers with their own alcohol brands when he partnered with spirits maverick Brent Hocking, founder and creator of the original DeLeón Tequila, to bring swagger and soul back into American bourbon whiskey.
And according to a press release we just received, Virginia Black Whiskey, a personally selected rich collection of two-, three- and four-year-old Bourbon Whiskey with a high-rye content and decadent profile, is set to release on May 1st in California, New York and Nevada, distributed exclusively by Proximo Spirits. “Uniquely positioned to redefine American whiskey, Virginia Black will engage enthusiasts irrespective of spirit preference or experience,” says Hocking.
Mellowed to 40 percent alcohol-by-volume (80 proof) to showcase the true essence of bourbon, we expect Virginia Black to turn us into as good of dancers as Drake himself in his “Hotline Bling” performance. Or at least make us think we’re dancing well.
