Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit

Kenneth Branagh’s 2014 action flick Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is the first in the cinematic series of films based on the Tom Clancy-created character to not be based on an actual Clancy novel. It’s an original story and works to reboot the series while also introducing Chris Pine as the latest actor to step into Ryan’s shoes (following portrayals by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck). With Branagh himself, as well as Kevin Costner and Keira Knightley along for the ride, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (which arrives Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD June 10) is a valiant effort that, while not anything groundbreaking, makes for some quality popcorn entertainment.

We’ve got an exclusive bonus features clip from the Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit Blu-ray (which hits stores June 10). The clip features star Keira Knightley and producer Mark Vahradian talking about working with director Kenneth Branagh, and how his experience and vision helped make Shadow Recruit a better film. All this while some great behind-the-scenes footage plays on the screen. It’s a fun glimpse behind the curtain.
