In an article that will be release in the Feb 13th edition of Newsweek, Robert Murdoch the owner of News Corp says he is working with cable companies to launch a rival network to the popular CNBC. Roger Ailes is the former head of CNBC and is now the head of Fox News. He ran CNBC when they were on top and will most likely put Fox right up there with the big boys quickly. Murdoch also commented that Viacom is “well run” and really doesn’t think Icahn has much to gain by splitting up the company. Remember what I said about a new stock show? I said Jack Welch was too old but that’s not really true. There’s an article saying Welch is in talks with the new network. Well here it comes. More info on Murdoch here.
