Awards season presses on, and with the 57th Annual Grammy Awards this Sunday, we rounded up a bevy of good reasons to tune in. Click on for the winners in the “hottest nominee” category.
Iggy Azalea: The Australian rapper received several nominations including Best New Artist and Record of the Year for her hit single “Fancy”. Let’s put it this way: She’s the hottest rapper we know, and definitely the hottest blonde artist named “Iggy”.
Charli XCX: Azalea’s partner in crime for “Fancy” is none other than English singer/songwriter Charli XCX. Her first gigs were illegal warehouse raves in London, so it’s safe to say she’s made it.
Beyoncé: Queen B’s secret digital release of Beyoncé quickly became the fastest-selling album in the history of the iTunes store. And while Bey is undoubtedly ***Flawless, the award for Best “Drunk In Love” Choreography is still up in the air.
HAIM: LA sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim are nominated for Best New Artist—and rightfully so. The pop-rock trio’s debut album, Forever, is worth the download.
St. Vincent: Annie Clark played for The Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Stevens before forming her own band under the stage name St. Vincent. Check out the track “Digital Witness” from her nominated self-titled album to get a sense of her unorthodox style, which floats somewhere between alternative and indie-pop.
Little Dragon’s Yukimi Nagano : This frontwoman is just as seductive as her intoxicating, soulful voice. Pairing it with electronic-jazz tracks makes for the perfect sexy-time sounds. Nabuma Rubberband is up for Best Electronic/Dance Album.
Katy Perry: Year after year, The Academy nominates stunner Katy Perry in hopes that she will accept her award on a massive robotic lion with Terminator eyes. This might be the year.
Taylor Swift: Name another singer/songwriter with nearly 250 music awards that easily passes as a Victoria’s Secret Model. Yeah, that’s what we thought.
Ariana Grande: And in the latest edition of teen star gets hot, Ariana Grande makes us (thankfully) forget all about Hannah Montana. The twenty-one year old is up for several awards including Best Pop Vocal Album.
