Hot Chicks from Comic Book Flicks

Comic-Con kicks off today in San Diego. Which gives us a great excuse to admire the finest females from recent or soon-to-be-released comic book movies. Check out these babes and see if your Spidey sense doesn’t start tingling…

Eva Green, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) Green plays Ava Lord in next year’s Sin City sequel. Unfortunately, she’ll show less skin in it than in 2003’s The Dreamers.

Olga Kurylenko, Oblivion (2013) The Bond girl/lingerie model starred in this year’s Tom Cruise post-apocalyptic movie. But you probably didn’t see it. Or realize it was based on an unpublished graphic novel.

Scarlett Johanssen, Iron Man 2 (2013) The curve-tastic ScarJo will reprise her role as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in both Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014 and Avengers 2 in 2015. Mark your calendars.

Lyndsy Fonseca, Kick-Ass 2 (2013) Good news, Kick-Ass fans: Fonseca is back as Katie Deauxma in Kick-Ass 2 next month. See it with Jim Carrey!

Rosario Dawson, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) The New York-bred Dawson is totally a dame we would kill for. Or at least, fight somewhat aggressively for.

Natalie Portman, Thor: The Dark World (2013) Portman returns as Jane Foster in Thor: The Dark World. So get ready to ask yourself, “What is Natalie Portman doing in this movie?” all over again.

Jamie Alexander, Thor: The Dark World (2013) This fetchin’ Texan is back in the Thor sequel as Sif. Incidentally, she’s also the hottest character in movie history named Sif.

Famke Janssen, The Wolverine (2013) The Dutch-American beauty has appeared in some 40 motion pictures. Only half of them have been X-Men-related.

Rebecca Hall, Iron Man 3 (2013) Things do not end well for this British babe’s botanist character in the film. Which is a damn shame, because she’s pretty hot.

Jessica Alba, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) By our count, the Sin City sequel will be Ms. Alba’s one-thousandth appearance in a comic book movie. Not that we’re complaining.

Stephanie Szostak, Iron Man 3 (2013) This French actress isn’t in Iron Man 3 very long. Just long enough for you to say, “Wow, that French actress is beautiful.”

Jamie Chung, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) The adorably hot Chung will also appear in next year’s Robert Rodriguez joint. Also known as 2014’s most racially diverse film.

Cobie Smulders, The Avengers (2012) The Canadian cutie played Agent Maria Hill in The Avengers. She probably appreciated getting out of MacLaren’s Pub for a few days.

Rose Byrne, X-Men: First Class (2011) We totally bought this gorgeous Aussie as Dr. Moira MacTaggart, the world’s foremost authority on human genetic mutation, in X-Men: First Class. Totally.

Blake Lively, Green Lantern (2011) Starring alongside future husband Ryan Reynolds, Lively was awesome in Green Lantern. OK, we didn’t actually see it. But we assume she was solid.

Jennifer Lawrence, X-Men: First Class (2011) Lawrence played shape-shifting villain Mystique in this 2011 flick. It was, without a doubt, her best screen performance to date.

Olivia Wilde, Cowboys & Aliens (2011) Fun fact: Cowboys & Aliens was based on a 2006 graphic novel. Fun fact no. 2: Wilde’s real last name is Cockburn. Yep, Cockburn. (Why’d she change it?)

Marion Cotillard, The Dark Knight Rises (2012) In The Dark Knight Rises, Cotillard’s character stabs Batman. We’d take a knife in the gut for her any day. As long as it’s one of those plastic retractable ones.
