Kristen Bell Makes Crime Sexy in Hit and Run

Kristen Bell evades the authorities in Hit and Run, opening this weekend. The film itself looks like your average crime comedy, but nothing is ever really average when Bell is involved. Because she's pretty, you know? Yeah, you know. And if you don't, you'll want to scope this bio-gallery.

Bell is from the Detroit suburb of Huntington Woods, Michigan.

She started acting in community theater productions at an early age, and had an agent before she was 13.

Her senior year in high school, Bell was voted "Best Looking Girl." Super hard to believe, right?

She attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a major in musical theater, but dropped out a few credits shy her senior year to take on a role in the Broadway musical version of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

Bell made the move to Los Angeles in 2002 and began auditioning for television roles. She booked a handful of guest parts over the next two years, and eventually landed the titular role in the UPN series Veronica Mars in 2004.

She has also appeared on Heroes and Deadwood, and continues to provide the voice-over narration for Gossip Girl, a gig she's had since the show premiered in 2007.

Bell is also known for her occasional work with the Judd Apatow crew, having played the titular role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

She's currently the female lead on Showtime's House of Lies, which follows a group of business consultants and the shady practices they use to get ahead. We'd let Bell swindle us any day.
