Lizzy Caplan joins a crew of funny ladies for the comedy Bachelorette, in theaters this weekend. Caplan plays one in a trio of old high school friends who get invited to serve as bridesmaids for a girl they bullied as teens. Based on the red band trailer, the film looks pretty funny. Not to mention Caplan and friends are some good looking girls. Just take a look at this bio-gallery.
Caplan hails from Los Angeles. She started acting in 1999 with a small role in an episode of Judd Apatow's cult series Freaks and Geeks.
Early in her career, she scored roles in shows like Smallville and Undeclared, and had a starring role on the short-lived series The Pitts.
In 2008 she appeared in a lead role in Cloverfield (spoiler alert: she's the girl who exploded).
On the romantic front, she's been dating Friends actor Matthew Perry since 2006. *Cue Chandler joke*
One of Caplan's best-known projects to date was a leading role alongside Adam Scott in the HBO series Party Down, in which she played a struggling LA comedian working a day job as a caterer.
While Party Down only lasted two seasons, it gained a large following and is currently being rebooted as a movie, scheduled for release next year. Happy days for fans of Caplan and Party Down alike.
