With her gorgeous eyes and alluring smile, Jessica Stroup lights up the CW’s 90210 and this weekend’s big new comedy, Ted. The hot young actress filled us in on Seth MacFarlane’s directorial debut and, as part of the movie’s tie-in with AXE Hair, shared a few grooming tips, too. We just supplied the pics. Enjoy.
MM: You’re on hiatus from 90210. Have you had fun on your time off? JS: Yeah! Mostly I’ve been renovating my new loft. I love doing interior design and finding furniture that reflects my taste. Even just sitting on the floor in my house is fun.
MM: Got any design tips for guys? JS: Less is more. You really want to find standout pieces that reflect your vibe. For example, I like a random mix of cool Moroccan pieces so I look for eclectic things. And try to keep it neat so if you are about to have a date over, you are ready!
MM: What was it like working with Mila Kunis, Mark Wahlberg, Joel McHale and the rest of the Ted cast? JS: It was incredible! Mila is a wonderful, down-to-earth, cool girl—we were already friends. And Seth MacFarlane is a good friend of mine, too. All the guys are so funny and talented! And to see the mechanical CGI process behind a talking bear was fascinating.
MM: What kind of hair do you like on a guy? JS: I like for him to keep it short on the sides and long on the top. Actually, I don’t even care about the top, just so long as he keeps it tight on the sides.
MM: Sounds like he’ll need some hair product… JS: Definitely! I love AXE’s Whatever Messy Look Paste. It doesn’t leave any residue and looks really natural. It gives you the hold without the hard feel. And I love the AXE deodorant. I want my man to smell good!
MM: At Made Man, we are really big on ’staches. Thoughts? JS: Yeah, please don’t grow your moustaches over the top of your lip. I really don’t like it. I just don’t think it looks good.
MM: What do you want guys to know about women? JS: That we are not all angry feminists all the time. We like when a guy holds the door. We like when you are a gentleman. If you want to pay the bill, that’s fine too, but maybe we want to be independent and pay for ourselves. Don’t assume anything. Let a woman be a woman… let us surprise you!
MM: What’s a good first date? JS: I love riding bikes together—to a restaurant or wherever. I love a fit man who loves doing physical things like hiking and walking.
MM: What else do you look for in a guy? JS: I look for someone who is an all-around good dude with a good heart. And someone who is funny. Editor’s note: We’re funny! We swear...
