With a name like hers, it’s appropriate that Moon Bloodgood has found herself playing a badass resistance fighter/medic in TNT’s Falling Skies. It’s like she was born for action roles. Fortunately the series—which follows a band of survivors working to topple their new alien overlords after a worldwide invasion—packs in plenty of action, along with plenty of Bloodgood. Sounds like the makings of a fine show. Here’s a Bloodgood bio-gallery to help ring in the premiere of the new season.
Bloodgood grew up in Southern California.
She was a member of the Laker Girls early in her career.
Her first acting gig was a guest role on the sitcom Just Shoot Me in 2002.
In 2006 she nabbed starring roles on the TV shows Daybreak and Journeyman, but both were cancelled after one season each.
Falling Skies marks Bloodgood’s first regular role on a TV series since her previous two shows went off the air.
The TNT sci-fi series isn’t her first experience with a post-apocalyptic action story, either. She also played a resistance fighter in Terminator Salvation in 2009. With aliens and robots under her belt, she just needs to do a zombie show to become the ultimate geek fantasy girl.
