Land Rover has certainly gotten our attention as we rev up for the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, which kicks off this week. To spread the word about the new Range Rover Evoque Convertible, which makes its debut at the show, the company enlisted the help of Spectre actress Naomie Harris. Trouble is, we can’t figure out what has us more intrigued: Land Rover’s first convertible SUV or the British Bond star posing with the vehicle. You be the judge…
Since its introduction in 2011, the Range Rover Evoque has become the fastest-selling Land Rover of all time. That speaks to the huge potential of the new drop-top model.
The new Range Rover Evoque Convertible features an acoustically lined fabric roof and aims to provide an entirely different kind of luxury driving experience.
Tech features include the all-new Land Rover InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, which boasts a 10.2-inch capacitive touch-screen with a 21:9 super-wide format and 1280x542 pixel resolution.
Says Harris: “It’s like nothing I’ve seen on the road before and is so sleek! I love the fact that it is just as much at home driving down the Pacific Coast Highway in LA as it is off-road in the British countryside.”
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 240 horsepower and 251-lb-ft of torque. All of the Evoque’s off-road capabilities have also been kept intact.
Set to go on sale in the Spring of 2016, the new Range Rover Evoque Convertible will have a starting price of $50,475. Our only lament? Harris is not included.
