If you’re planning a trip to Paris, you’re definitely going to the Eiffel Tower. It’s one of the most iconic landmarks in the world, and you can now stay there. Yeah, that’s right. You can now sleep in the famous Parisian monument. In honor of the big Euro 2016 soccer tournament being held in France this summer, the vacation rental website HomeAway is holding a contest to let four lucky people live in the recently renovated pad. The apartment sits 57 meters (187 feet) above the Parisian skyline, so the views are out of control. Check it out as we guide you through all the features of this insane apartment.
The apartment was originally a conference room, but in a mere 48 hours, the space was transformed into a temporary flat, complete with a living room, an urban greenhouse and two bedrooms.
This is the view from the bedroom. You can now really see why Paris is called the City of Lights as you gaze across the skyline while you fall asleep. And in the morning, you’ll be greeted by the rising sun over the Arc de Triomphe. Not too shabby.
The other side of the apartment looks in on the center of the Eiffel Tower, so you can skip the lines and instead check out the architecture from your dining room table. It also boasts a huge living area where you can watch all 51 of the Euro 2016 games. Tip: Cheer for France.
This is a look into the urban greenhouse from the living room. There’s also a pretty cool foosball table to use in case you’re feeling inspired by the tournament.
So, yeah, this is basically the dream apartment. Unfortunately, HomeAway has already announced the winners. The contest received over 150,000 applicants who were asked to write creative essays about what they would do if the apartment were theirs for the night. The apartment will go back to being a conference space after the tournament is over, crushing dreams (including my own) around the world.
