Who says a woman has to kiss her bikini body goodbye when babies come along? Certainly not the lovely lady above, who continues to post enviable, scantily clad Instagram snaps after giving birth to twins.
Earlier this year, Sonya Davison Sanchez, a television hostess based in Singapore, posted the most epic throwback comparison pic ever, and it has all women smacking themselves in their foreheads saying, "what a lucky b*tch!" The news lady posted a photo of herself in a bikini the day before she gave birth alongside another snapshot of herself holding her sons in the same swimsuit nearly a year later.
"The day before I gave birth vs today," she wrote on Instagram. "So amazed by what the human body is capable of." Psh, she’s not kidding! She looks absolutely stunning post-baby. And the kicker? It only took her three weeks to lose her baby weight!
In the shot, she is modeling the same bikini she wore while knocked up. Did we mention she posts other sexy swimsuit shots on her social media page, too? We’re sure that’s why Sonya has nearly 300,000 Instagram followers. Her feed is filled with stunning photos of herself showing off her trim figure in everything from workout gear to crop tops.
Of course, people want to know what her secret is. They’ve asked how she was able to get her body back to the way it was after giving birth to twins, and even she admits she was even surprised by her transformation. Sharing another bikini photo of herself last September, Sonya explained how she was able to bounce back so quickly.
"A year ago, I made my husband promise to (pretend to) still love my body after I gave birth," she wrote. "During my pregnancy, I mentally prepared myself for a post-twins baby body. I had fully accepted it... I, (like many) thought that it wouldn’t be possible to get my body back after pregnancy (especially after seeing my ginormous twin belly). I was wrong. I would come to realize that a combination of factors would lead to me losing my pregnancy weight within just three weeks of giving birth."
She did reveal what helped her out, though. Before she got pregnant she had strong core muscles from doing high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts out home. "I only gained what I needed to," she said of her pregnancy. "You don’t literally have to "eat for two" when you’re pregnant. I gained mostly on my tummy, so I only had to lose that extra weight, which is a whole lot easier than the whole body."
Sonya also said that she walked for two to three hours every other day to keep her metabolism up while she was pregnant and credits exclusively breastfeeding her boys to helping her reach her pre-pregnancy weight.
This woman isn’t supernatural, though. She does have what some would consider pregnancy flaws. She’s openly admitted that she has and showed off her stretch marks. "Tiger stripes n all #mamabod," she captioned a photo of herself in a short, sexy top. We’re not complaining, are you?
After all, she appears to being doing an excellent job as both a mom and as a super-fit and camera-friendly beauty.
Hard to argue with this evidence, right? Her smile is just infectious.
Although she looks great without it, too.
Especially on the beach.
