What’s it like to drive the quickest and most powerful SUV in the world? In a word, insane. Of course, that’s just what Jeep intended when they started crafting the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. No bones about it. So in recognition of all the hard work, we managed to come up with a few more words to describe it…
Revolutionary: Building on the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT (first introduced in 2006), the Trackhawk pushes the performance envelope even further, boasting a top speed of 180 mph and a zero to 60 time of 3.5 seconds. You read that right.
Nimble: Typically, cornering a car on a racetrack with neck-snapping speed is the domain of sports cars. But this SUV features similar handling and maneuverability, making it nearly as much fun to drive as much smaller vehicles.
Wicked: Birthed out of the same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that powers the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, the Jeep Trackhawk picks up many of the muscle car’s beast-like capabilities, but in a more refined package.
Unfiltered: There’s some unexplainable mental force that takes over you when you hit the throttle, a sense of freedom to yell whatever profane word first comes to mind. Which is just a great f'ing feeling, really.
Unapologetic: Despite its muscle car DNA, the Trackhawk can also be very mild mannered when asked politely. The thing is, though, it’s always itching to show you how bad it can really be. And who are we to stop it?
