Tony Stark must be sooooo jealous. The 2010 R8 5.2 FSI V10 coupe, also known as the R8 Supercar, made a stunning debut in Frankfurt, Germany with an unofficial but blindingly flashy finish. But it’s not just flashy on the outside.
If you want to look into your car’s finish and see your pearly whites, you’ll need a custom job – Audi doesn’t offer “mirror” as a body color. But the R8 has plenty of other luxurious features to distract you. It’s all-leather interior is infused with a pigment that refracts infrared components of light. So what? So leave the windows down on a 100-degree day and still return to a comfortably cool car seat hours later.
The mid-mounted engine is a V10 capable of 525 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. The body work hints at this with a classic roadster line pushing the shoulders way back over the side vents. When it makes its debut in the first quarter of 2010 (Europe only), it’s going to cost you 230,430 for the base model, but there’s no denying there has never been a more luxurious, stock Audi in history.
