The wilderness is rough, and you’ve got to be prepared for any challenge it might throw your way. Like, say, starting a fire when you’re stuck without matches, flint or your trusty Bic. In this episode of For the Win, Thomas Coyne of the Survival Training School of California shows you how to build a fire from scratch. All you need are sticks, a stone, and a bit of shoelace or rope. (You know, the same stuff Rihanna asked you to bring on your first date.)
