We just came across this beautiful document, a note George H.W. Bush left in the Oval Office for Bill Clinton—after Clinton bested him in the 1992 presidential election, preventing him from serving a second term.

It’s incredibly graceful, heartfelt and supportive of a man who had been a bitter rival just a few months before.

Here’s hoping whoever loses on November 8th has even a fraction of this kind of class, because when it’s over, it’s over, and it’s time to unite and move forward…
