Packing four types of 3D glasses has always been a hassle, but HTC’s new Android-driven EVO 3D smartphone does away with those Ray-Ban Wayfakers by offering a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen that uses parallax barrier 3D. The glasses-free technology is the first to be used in a smartphone, and 3D looks amazing on the EVO’s 540 x 960 qHD screen, though the narrow viewing range only allows one user to see 3D at a time. Even better is the smooth video playback, thanks to the new 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. It’s a big performance boost over the single-cored EVO 4G. Two 5 megapixel cameras allow you to DIY your life in 3D photos and images. The EVO 3D is available through Sprint for $199 with a two year contract. Get it here.
