With Ink Hunter you can actually try out tattoos—either sketches from the app’s ink library or your own uploaded ideas—before you permanently mark up your body.

To use the app, which is free, you first draw just three lines on your skin where you’d envision the tattoo. Then, you select a tattoo from their gallery of more than 80 designs spanning quotes to dogs wearing dinosaur costumes, or add your sketch. You have to allow the app access to your camera so you can then hover the camera over the lines and the sketch will then appear. Snap a photo, edit it how you like, share it and some are available to purchase as a flash tattoo if you really want to try it out for a few days.

Check out the video below for a better idea of how it works. Then send a photo to your parents just to freak them out.
