Jimmy Kimmel Live came out with its sixth annual post-Halloween installment of the “Hey Jimmy Kimmel, I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy,” in which savage parents record their children’s distraught reactions to being told their committed trick-or-treating work has gone to waste.
To no surprise, the video compilation was chock full of feigned fainting, hysterics, some solid punches and even an F-bomb. One girl threatened to punish her parents saying, “Next time we go trick-or-treating, you don’t do that, OK? Or I’ll have to spank your butt and put you in your room.”
But in a sea of screams, there were some more forgiving children. “It’s OK,” one girl responded when she was told her hard-earned candy was eaten. Her mother asked if she still loved her and she said, “Of course I do.” Another said, “How about tomorrow I’ll bring my bag and we’ll get some more candy.”
And, of course, six years in, some kids caught on: “It’s Jimmy Kimmel. It’s Jimmy Kimmel. You’re hiding my candy. I’ve seen it before. I’ve watched YouTube.”
Nonetheless, the below video will down in infamy.
