Kristin Cavallari: “I’m not a pushover”

Just what does a reality star do after her show comes to an end? For former Laguna Beach hottie Kristin Cavallari, the answer was another reality show. And then another. Now that her run on Dancing With the Stars is done, we can only assume she’ll keep the pattern going. In the meantime, we asked Cavallari what it’s like to be a hot chick in the limelight and how guys can get her attention. Her answers—and her finest photos, of course—inside.

MADE MAN: What gets your attention in a guy? Please don’t say “just be yourself.”
KRISTIN CAVALLARI: I like a guy who is confident but not cocky, and a guy who laughs and smiles a lot.

MM: What’s a total turn-off?
KC: Someone who’s rude to waiters.

MM: What does the average dude fail to understand about men‘ class=’linkify’ target=’_blank’>women in the celebrity spotlight?
KC: I don’t think being a celebrity makes a difference. I think it’s the same little things guys don’t understand about us.

MM: You’re in incredible shape. How much do you work out, and what’s your top fitness tip?
KC: I work out four times a week—twice with a trainer doing light weights, and then twice for 40 minutes on the treadmill. My biggest piece of advice is to change it up so you don’t get bored.

MM: You introduced yourself on Dancing with the Stars by stating that you’re “not a bitch”. Why do you think some people perceive you as a bitch? Are guys just intimidated by women who speak their minds?
KC: I think some people consider me a bitch because of how I was portrayed on Laguna Beach and The Hills. The only similarity between me and who I played on those shows is that I’m honest and not a pushover. Strong women can be intimidating to men. It’s more of a challenge.

MM: Has DWTS given you a new appreciation for dancing? Will you be incorporating dance into your workouts now?
KC: I definitely give dancers more credit. Dancing is very difficult and it’s amazing how good dancers make it look so easy. It’s a ton of fun and a great workout.

MM: How do you feel about being considered a sex symbol and being near the top of Made Man’s Chickipedia Hot 100?
KC: I am extremely flattered! I don’t think of myself as sexy but if other people do, then that’s great.
