Have an irrational fear of cologne? Us too. Too many stereotypes of Jovan Musk-scented crimes against style, we guess. But we’ve gotten over it, thanks to Bawston & Tucker solid cologne. Handmade in Florence, Alabama, it is what it says on the tin: A disc of wax that you swipe with a fingertip and apply. (Sort of like pomade for your neck, but not at all greasy.) We tried the Aroostook variety, which is woodsy and masculine but light, a terrific balance that made us feel sharp and clean, not basted in scent. It’s enough to banish your leisure-suited mental demons—this deserves a place alongside the next-level grooming products you’re investing in.
