The Long Shot: Someone other than Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump winning the 2016 Presidential Election.

The Odds: 12/1 (via

Why It Might Happen: I know what you’re all thinking: How can the odds only be 12 to 1?!

You’re right. It’s crazy, but the reality is that this election is unlike any election we have seen before. The public sees red flags with both candidates and that’s making oddsmakers unsure of both. In fact, the odds of someone other than Trump or Clinton being elected have actually increased from 14/1 a few days ago. So I say take this shot and make that bet!

People outside of Clinton and Trump running include libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein (recently backed by Cornel West). If Trump or Clinton make a fatal mistake in the next few weeks, one of these candidates could gain a ton of momentum and steal the election. It’s worth a bet.
