A child’s Christmas is happier with the addition of the 10 best Christmas animated movies. Animated Christmas movies will bring joy, tears, laughter and a wonderful message of the Christmas spirit to the entire family.

  1. "Frosty the Snowman" Sweet tale of a snowman that comes to life when a magic hat is placed on his head. The children who made Frosty try to take him to the safety of a colder climate to keep him from melting. The song Frosty the Snowman is sung by the children. Adorable Christmas message for all ages.
  2. "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" Dr. Seuss classic Christmas tale brought to life with brilliant animation and narration is about the mean old Grinch who steals Christmas from the happy little Who’s of Whoville. A little Who named Cindy Lou warms the heart of the Grinch and stops him from stealing Christmas. Dr. Seuss’s classic tale is an expose of the true spirit of Christmas.
  3. "Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer" The ridiculed misfit reindeer with the red nose grows up to save Christmas from being canceled by leading Santa’s sleigh through a blizzard with his red nose on Christmas Eve. An endearing story about embracing differences and being an individual. Adorable songs.
  4. "Twas the Night before Christmas" Father Mouse and the Trundle Family attempt to a disgruntled Santa Claus from passing up their town of Junctionville on Christmas Eve. Celebrity voices include George Gobel, Joel Grey, John McGiver, and Tammy Grimes. From 1974, this classic has a Christmas message of faith and forgiveness.

"Shrek the Halls" Shrek follows step by step directions for celebrating Christmas, because ogres don’t celebrate anything so they don’t know how, from a book entitled Christmas For Village Idiots. Charming tale told with outstanding computer generated animation from 2007. Mike Meyers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey, Cameron Diaz as Fiona, and Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots.
  6. "The Year without a Santa Claus" Santa wakes up with a bad cold and is told by the doctor to take it easy, leaving his elves in charge of making Christmas deadlines who soon get into trouble. Celebrity voices adding to the charm of this story include Shirley Booth, Mickey Rooney, Dick Shawn, and George S. Irving.
  7. "A Cosmic Christmas" Not the usual animated Christmas tale, this 1977 animated feature is the story of three aliens from another planet who come to earth to learn the true meaning of Christmas. A good lesson in the meaning of Christmas.
  8. "A Charlie Brown Christmas" Charlie Brown, surrounded by Peanuts characters, searches for the true meaning of Christmas. The Peanuts characters include Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Patty, and more. There is something for everyone in this animated Christmas classic.
  9. "Casper’s Haunted Christmas" Casper the Ghost is given the task of scaring a character to save him from being banished to The Dark before Christmas. When Casper fails, his look alike Cousin Spooky comes to the rescue. Great computer animation from 2000.
  10. "Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas" This Walt Disney animated classic tale The Beast has forbidden Christmas and Belle struggles the trials and tribulations of changing his mind and saving Christmas. Typically beautiful Disney animation with an all star cast. Delightful.
